‘Dune: Part Two’ Trailer: Warner Bros Pictures have just shared the trailer for the IMAX-shot follow-up to Denis Villeneuve’s epic science fiction film – Dune. Based on the novel of the same name by Frank Herbert, the new film has several things to make you excited for another fascinating ride through the sandstorms.
The Dune Part Two shows Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) getting back on his enigmatic journey through the dusty lands of Arrakis while joining hands with Chani (played by Zendaya), a young Fremen. He is on his path to avenging his family’s destruction in a fight against the forces that conspired it to happen. He endeavors to prevent a terrible future that only he can predict.
Jon Spaihts has written the screenplay of this action-packed adventure film along with Villeneuve himself. The continuation picks up immediately after the first part’s ending. The film is entirely shot in IMAX by cinematographer Greig Fraser (who won Oscar for the first part and was showered with praise for his work in Robert Pattinson starrer Batman).
The first look of this sci-fi epic adventure film was shared earlier at the 2023 CinemaCon convention by the film’s director Denis Villeneuve. According to what he spoke during this event, we can certainly expect a fulfilling ‘main course’ in Part Two after the satisfying ‘appetizer’ that was served in the initial film.
The 2021 release starred Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgård, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and Javier Bardem in its star-studded cast.
Now the Dune Part Two Trailer shows us the new, exciting additions of Florence Pugh (known for films like Midsommar, Little Women & Don’t Worry Darling), Austin Butler (known for his Oscar-nominated turn as Elvis in the Baz Luhrmann-directorial music biopic), and also Léa Seydoux (known for her work from Blue Is the Warmest Colour besides the James Bond series).
Dune: Part Two is scheduled to release in movie theatres on November 3, 2023
