Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thrillers, and supernatural content, has released the trailer and key art for its latest indie thriller, “Influencer,” from Shudder alumnus Kurtis David Harder. The film, which won multiple awards after premiering at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival last year and playing various festivals, will make its exclusive streaming debut on Shudder and will also be available to stream on AMC+.
“Influencer” follows Madison (Emily Tennant), a social media influencer who portrays a glamorous and exciting life on Instagram, despite having a lonely and uneventful trip in Thailand. When her boyfriend cancels the trip, Madison meets CW (Cassandra Naud), a fearless traveler who offers to take her to some of the most picturesque locations for social media posts. While sharing authentic experiences with locals and discussing the differences between their online and offline personas, CW surprises Madison by taking her to a deserted island that is off the grid.
